I can not believe I am leaving tomorrow. The months and days leading up to this trip have gone by very slow.
If you do not know yet, I am spending 11 weeks in Washington DC working for the Center for Veterinary Research at the FDA. I am going with one of my best friends Abbi Brock and another friend from school Daniel. The three of us will be living in an apartment in College Park, Maryland.
I have been packing since Monday of this week and think I have my entire life in 2 bags minus Estevan, Heather and my tea maker. The only hard part about this trip is leaving home. It is very bitter sweet to be going on such an exciting adventure. I am going to see and experience part of the country that I have not spent much time in all while getting an amazing opportunity to work for the FDA. On the other hand leaving the comfort of the people who have always taken care of me is going to be a little more challenging. I know am ready to step out of my comfort zone and do something a little unconventional.
DC here I come.
